We are thrilled to announce that a generous donor has led the underwriting of our studio theatre,
which will be named the “Mimi Herrndorf Theatre”.
This donation is seminal in our history and facilitates the Citadel being where dance is helping transform the Regent Park community. We are so grateful for this generous donation and for the profound effect it has on our public. We now have a setting that better supports our creativity to flourish.
After the Citadel’s defining renovation, we opened our doors in February and presented contemporary dance performances, yoga and hip-hop classes, and introduced our space as a venue for new artists creating new work. These initiatives have already inspired thousands.
Our outreach mission of bringing art to the people continues, and we aspire for the Citadel to be an integral part of the community. You can play a key role in helping us make this happen. In fact, we need your help to make this happen.
Our generous donors have so far contributed over $560,000 to help us realize this dream. But we need the financial support now, perhaps more than ever. Our goal is to raise an additional $600,000, funds that will go directly to reduce the amounts we borrowed to finance our capital construction.
